Satellite Content Management Platform
JavaScriptTypeScriptReactWordPressGutenbergMaterial UICSS3 / Sass
Overview
The project was a government-sector content platform focused on satellite and space topics. As the sole frontend engineer, working directly with a project manager from the client side, I built custom Gutenberg blocks with React and TypeScript. Editors could configure themes and color schemes, switch between layouts, build complex grids, and control block visibility through the WordPress admin panel.
Key Responsibilities
- ▹Building custom Gutenberg blocks with React and TypeScript, allowing non-technical editors to assemble structured pages without developer support
- ▹Implementing Gutenberg styling and layout controls that allowed editors to choose themes and color schemes, switch grid structures, and show or hide blocks based on their configuration
- ▹Building reusable interface components with Material UI to keep the design consistent across different block types and visual variants
Achievements
Enabled content editors to build and style complex pages without developer support by delivering reusable Gutenberg blocks and flexible layout controls
Created a shared styling system that supported custom themes, color schemes, flexible grids, and conditional rendering while keeping blocks visually consistent
